Late Night

I got LN yesterday! It's great! I love all the new interactions & gameplay. The only downside for me is that most of the clubs tend to be empty when my sims go to them. At first I thought it was just the game but then I went to the forums & saw a thread about this issue. A lot of people seem to have this but a few people said that their clubs had a lot of sims. I'm now hoping that it's just a bug & they'll fix it with a patch.

Sons of Admirals & Sports

Late Night comes out tomorrow! Yay! I am probably going to stay away from the LN forum for now because I don't want to spoil the surprise for myself by reading what people who already have gotten it post.

Also, The Sons of Admirals released their single, "Here Comes my Baby" today. If you have $.99 to spare I would highly recommend it! They're a really talented group of guys & they need this single to do well so that they can continue making music together. If this single charts in the top 10 radios will play them more & it will mean great things for them (Tom Milsom explains why they need it to do well better than I do... and in furry pants).
And, for those interested, the Love Like Woe music video by the Ready Set is free today on iTunes. so... yeah.
The Sons are 4 guys who separately gained YouTube notoriety by releasing their own music & vlogs & now they've joined together. Even if you aren't interested in buying their music you would probably enjoy some of their videos. They can be pretty funny.
Meet the Sons:

This is Ed. The other members in the group consider him the best singer & guitar player. (side note: the EP that this song is off of is quite good!)

This is Alex. His channel focuses on his vlogs (his Alex Reads Twilight are some of his most popular videos... I think he resents that a bit haha).

Charlie is the most well known of the Admirals. His channel is comedy driven. And he lives with Alex!

Tom posts a variety of things. He can play seemingly every instrument known to man & is referred to as the most talented by the other guys in the group. And he and Ed live together.

This is their video for "Here Comes my Baby":

Okay, well, I guess I've advertised them enough. This was not a good weekend for me in terms of sports. Three of the teams I wanted to win lost, and the other three I wanted to win won, but just barely. The Yankees are not going to the World Series this year :(. But the Giants are! I'm more excited about that then sad about the Yankees, so that's good. But the Giants' pitcher Brian Wilson walked 2 or 3 guys in the bottom of the 9th & was REALLY worrying me. LSU lost, Saints lost. I'm more upset about LSU. It's not like Auburn was significantly better. They could have won that game. The Saints, however, were run over by the Browns. That was pathetic. Brees hasn't been up to snuff all season, & he really showed it yesterday. 4 Interceptions! What on earth?? Patriots won... but came way too close to having to go into overtime. & the Packers won, but that was a serious nailbiter to the end. Favre & the Vikings came extremely close to winning that game.

Tomorrow should be good! Late Night comes out & the Glee episode of the Rocky Horror Picture show comes on. I'm looking forward to LN more but both should be entertaining. & then Wednesday is the first game of the World Series! go Giants!

Alright, well, that's all for now. Bye!

Unforgivable, Town Hall, & XFactor

So last night I watched the whole Unforgivable series (here, if you are interested). I thought it was very good. Faalq is a great machinima creator.

Also last night was the Town Hall. Didn't get to go... I don't live in Cali & I don't have money to fly out there. I followed a lot of it on Twitter & on the forums, but the influx of information kind of started giving me a headache. Then there was the whole controversy of which information was real or made up... I mean, at this point I don't think it matters. The game comes out on Tuesday. We'll be able to see what's real & what's not soon enough. I didn't look at a lot of information 'cause I do want to be surprised a bit, but I did read something about returning families (I hope that wasn't one of the things that was made up lol). I'd really like the Pleasants or Specters to be there. hmm... or the Smiths. I would die from overexcitement if I saw the Pleasants. Agh I am so excited for this EP!

I like the information that came out about The Sims Medieval. When I first read about the game I was unsure about it & didn't think I would get it, but the more I learn about it the more I'm thinking about getting it. I doubt I will get it when it first comes out, but it does look like it will be an interesting game to play. I'm actually starting to get kind of excited about it. People have been asking for medieval type stuff & making medieval themed towns since TS2 (well, probably before that) so I think it is cool that they're really running with this idea. An EP with medieval stuff would have been cool, but the middle ages theme would have clashed with the modern part of TS3, so a whole separate game makes sense. I'm looking forward to reading more information about it.

Also, I've been watching tonight's XFactor performances on YouTube (the only way I can since I don't live in the UK), & so far I think Matt Cardle is the best. His performance tonight is my favorite of his on the show. I groaned a little when I found out what he would be singing (he has sang a lot of girl songs & I've felt like he keeps doing it because he knows it's something different & is trying to stand out not becuase he's a great singer, but because he's a guy singing a girl song), but he really surprised me with this one! He sounded great & I enjoyed his rendition. I also thought Aiden performed his best tonight. I haven't seen the last 2 performances (waiting for them to be uploaded), but these 2 are my favorites from the evening so far.

And lol, how has Wagner made it to the top 12? he's hilarious to watch... but... oh goodness hahahaha

Machinima!

I haven't watched a lot of machinima or any of the SIFF films, but I was looking at a view videos today & i saw this one by Pyronium3 that i like a lot:

i've never really listened to Sia before but i really like this song.

& Bonne Justice is my favorite.

alright, well, i'm going to watch the SIFF films now

Gah

So, random news this morning (really has nothing to do with the sims). HP has launched their own tablet... for $800! I mean... really!? You can buy a fairly decent full blown computer for less than that! What are they thinking? Is this really going to be worth it for anybody?
Ehh, I don't get it. Link here

Hello!

Oh hai!
I'm Jillian. That sim is Ella. The blue girl in my header picture is Ella's great grandmother. I've been wanting to do a blog for a while now, & I finally decided to get my act together & just do it. Not so sure what I'll write about but I want to be more connected to the sims community. The forums aren't good for that. I also have an idea for a story I'm planning on doing... but it's gonna have to wait until I can dedicate a lot of time to it.

Non-Sims related:
I read a short story today called "The Last Question" by Isaac Asimov. It's Science Fiction & I liked it a lot. It can be found here: http://www.multivax.com/last_question.html.
If you read it, don't read the end first! I know that may sound silly but sometimes people do things like that. Don't accidentally read the end first either. The end is what makes you really think about the whole story. I had a Ray Bradbury phase recently, now I think I'm going to have an Asimov one. Asimov is part of the "Big Three" of Sci Fi writers, alone with Arthur C. Clarke & Robert A. Heinlein. I definitely plan on checking them out in the future. When I first heard about the "Big Three" I thought for sure Bradbury would be considered part of it, instead it's comprised of three people I hadn't even heard of before today! I can't believe I've never heard of authors who are considered to be that important. It is exciting though. I'm looking forward to reading them.

Anyway, 5 days until Late Night! Finally sims can go out at night & meet other sims at places (the towns have always seemed sparse to me). Ella's great GREAT grankids are teens right now. I can't wait to put them in a band together! & get the girl bitten by a vampire. this is them:

Lien. She is the older of the two siblings. This is her brother Pao:

Family photo!:

The woman in the middle is Shark Racket's daughter. her name is Sabine. & her husband (& Pao & Lien's father) is from China. i forgot his name haha.

Also, I was listening to the radio today & "Need You Now" came on & I realized I know more of it in Simlish than in English :P

That's about it for the day. Or I guess I should say night. :)

oh, Ella XP
